Happy 4th Birthday to my sweet baby girl Lindsey Lulu!!

i cant believe 4 years have flown by so fast!! i hope lindsey knows how much we love her and i look forward to a great year of her growing up even more!!

My New Years Wishes.....

I hope everyone had wonderful holidays. At this time of year I find my self reflecting on the year that has nearly ended and I always get back to the same thought, I am so thankful for my life.... my children, my husband, my parents and brother and all my friends . For this post I want to share my New Year wishes for my 6 lil blessings from heaven.
Tayler and Katey - You both are sweet girls and great big sisters. I really appreciate all your help with the younger kids and especially your patience with them. You both have stepped up often to help out when I'm just having a hard day. Tayler my right hand girl, you are such a good girl and although we've had our ups and downs this year with teenage life I am so thankful to have you as a daughter. I wish you continued success in school and church and i hope you continue to hold you head high with the choices you've made for your future. You deserve the best.... remember that! Love You Boog!

Katey my sassy girl. You have such a sweet spirit that sometimes gets overplayed my your tough exterior but you show such strength in all that you do. I wish I had the passion you do when it comes to things that you know are right. You are an extraordinary example of patience with Mitchell and I could never express to you how much I appreciate it. My wish for you this upcoming year in continued success in all things that you do. And I hope that everything you want to achieve will happen for you. Love you Sassy Kat!

Emily my sweet girl, you are my adorable middle child that I cherish so much. You are such a nice sister to you siblings and you try to get along with everyone although sometimes that gets over looked. Your are very genuine in your feelings for everyone and I am so happy that is you strongest trait. You are a wonderful big sister to Matthew and Lindsey and i understand why sometimes its hard for you to understand or get along with Mitchell but he knows you love him. My wish for you this year is to keep enjoying being a little girl and for you to know how much your family really does love you. I also hope you enjoy all the activities you love to do like tumbling and bike riding. Love you Leelee



Matty Joe- Our little peanut butter cup!! You had a tough year and I am grateful that you show such strength and courage when dealing with your kidney problems. You have had to grow up so much this year and deal with lots of pain and changes with your health, yet you are so brave. You are so lucky to have a twin brother that loves you so much, although he cannot tell you I know he does by the way he looks at you and the way he likes to give you hugs. Your baby sister loves you and you are her best friend. Your other sisters love you so much and they never want anything to happen to you. Our fast lil funny guy you always keep our family laughing! My wish for you this year is that you continue to be the strongest, bravest lil guy that you can be. I hope that you have a wonderful year and hope that you enjoy starting kindergarten this year. I know you are excited!! Love you Peanut!!



Mitchell- Our sweet lil quiet guy!! Your our gentle angel!! You are such a special lil guy and I know you were given to us to make us a stronger and better family. I simply adore you and every time you say mama my heart melts even more. Your life is such a blessing to all of us. Your twin brother loves you so much and will never let anyone hurt you, he sometimes gets frustrated but you two have a bond that we will never understand completely. Lindsey loves your hugs and just loves being your baby sister. Your older sisters will always be there for you and love you a lot! My wish for you is continued success at school with your therapy and that you will always be that affectionate cuddle bug that you've always been. I wish you good luck in kindergarten as well. well i knew it was coming..... i try to avoid it every year but its impossible. the lame thing of having to buy people gifts and if you dont it will be heck to pay. i really wish we lived in a world where people understood that this holiday is really about christ birth not presents but yet i succumb to the stupid tradition every year. it gets really frustrating!! oh well thats my post for tonight maybe after a good nights sleep i wont be so bah humbug!! maybe.....

Hey Y'all its been a year i think since updating this blog. I think about it often and have a new years resolution of keeping it updated. Well things are in full swing for the christmas season. I should be done with getting gifts but im not. Just a few more things though! Everyone on is doing okay, weve had our ups and downs this past year but who doesnt. We hope everyone is enjoying this time of year to spend with your family and friends! Most of all we are thankful for our lord and savior Jesus Christ.

Bah Humbug??

I'm not really bah humbug but I have been feeling a bit overwhelmed by this holiday season. To start off with we had a nice thanksgiving,I made a turkey and all the trimmings. That day was also mine and Davids 15th anniversary so it was a double reason to celebrate!!The kids had a week off from school and they enjoyed the break.. so did i!! Anyway now were here right around the corner from Christmas and i think i don't have much spirit for the season by way of the tree got put up the day after thanksgiving and that's pretty much it. No extra decorating this year. I think my somber mood is cause I've been missing my dad alot, a couple of months back he hurt his back at work and took a few weeks off then went back... bad idea... he hurt it worse the second time. This upsets me so much because he is 68 and its time to retire, he has been working since he was a young boy in South America and its hard for him to stop. Anyway hes been on my mind cause alot because a couple of weeks ago he called me as usual (every other day)and just wanted to let me know not to send him anything for Christmas because all he wanted was to see me!! ouch ... yikes... wow that was a doozie!! I instantly started crying and pretty much cry every time i think of that conversation, so this has left me pretty somber. well I'm trying to be excited for the kids they enjoy Christmas time and of course the presents but most of all they enjoy being here as a family. Its been 1 year and almost 4 months since we moved here and the kids love it and I know that their happiness is the most important thing. Well enough blabbering for today. I'm suppose to take pictures of the kids for Christmas cards but we all were sick with the stomach flu for the past few days so maybe we can get it done tomorrow!! Hope everyone has a good weekend!!

i am so bad about keeping this up but i will try harder. so whats been goin on... well weve been havin the run around with the cirrcualting colds, strep throat and allergies wreaking havoc in our house. currently lindse and i are sick with bad colds and coughs and the twins are still dealing with an abundent supply of boogies!!! yuck!! anyway life is busy a always and we are lucky enough to be getting a break from sports for a little while!! till january at least. so the kids are enjoying school and are looking forward to a week off at thanksgiving time!! other thanthat things are pretty much the same. oh yeah mitchell did get approved for occupational therapy at the school so he will start on tuesday.i am going to in
clude a picture i took of mitchell on a swing today he went on by himself and that is a real big accomplishment for him because he has spacial issues and is terrified of falling so this is great!!hope y'all have a grea week!!

It's time for back to school shopping, a yearly tradition for families with students.

"I kinda look for what's cute and in style right now," said Brandon 7th grader Taylor Bargender.

"Yes, we are getting some of her things today," said Taylor's mother Jennifer. "I have three kids in school so I am waiting to meet the teachers before I buy all the school supplies."


WalMart reorganizes its store to make way for school supplies ranging from dorm furniture and decorations to the basics like backpacks, pens, and paper. Don't be surprised if you find some shelves bare. Supplies like construction paper, manilla paper, and notebooks are in high demand sometimes by the afternoon the items are sold out.

"We actually stock overnight, but by afternoon we're sold out again," said Pearl WalMart's Assistant Manager AZ Rains. "So we're constantly trying to get more in and get more stocked."

According to the National Retail Federation families will spend more than $590 in back to school purchases. That's an estimated $20.1 billion in back to school spending nationwide.

Before you join the flurry of shoppers take these tips into consideration. First take inventory of what you have left over from last year. Then plan one shopping trip. You will waste expensive gas by driving to different stores in search of the best deals. Finally make a budget and stick to it.

"Plan your shopping trip," said Karl Knight with the Consumer Credit Counseling Service. "Set aside X amount of dollars that you are going to spend and be careful where you spend it."

hey

So I am really bad about keeping up this blog although i really do enjoy reading them. Anyway life is busy as usual and thank goodness summer vacation is winding down and the kids will start school on friday!! yay!!! I mean I love all my lil hooligans but it will be nice for them to get back to school and friends!! Summer seemed to fly by . We were so busy with softball and just life in general but i wouldnt trade it for anything. so with the kids starting school again that will leave me with the twins and lindsey at home ...well actually mitchell will be doing the preschool language and occupational therapy at the elementary school monday thru wednesday then private language therapy on thursday and friday. yay 5 days of therapy for mitchell , he has already made so many improvements i know that him being in therapy will continue to help him achieve and be ready to go to kindergarten with matthew in 2 years!! So beyond some school shopping i have left to do i am pretty much ready for the new school year. not sure about waking up at 5:30 a.m. again...yuck!! anyway tayler and i were interviewed today outside walmart by a local news reporter. it was on the 6 o'clock news . we didnt get to see it but it is viewable online. i will try to add it to this page. i think its too funny that they picked me and her out of everyone that was walking into Wal mart!! haha!!

OKAY SO IM OFICALLY 34 TODAY! WELL ACTUALLY NOT UNTIL 2:48 IN THE AFTERNOON BUT ANYWAY IM NOW 34 YIKES!! DOES THIS MEAN IM IN MY MID 30'S NOT EARLY!? OH WELL! Happy Birthday Tayler!

Just wanted to say a big HAPPY 12TH BIRTHDAY to Tayler! She is such a sweet girl,my helper,and a great big sister! We will be having a small family party for her tonite with pizza and cake (she wants homemade with strwberries in the middle!!Anyway , it has been a while since i have bloged on here..... so what has happend in a month ...same old same, katey had a softball tournament in gulfport,ms and it was a nice little weekend, her team did well. two days after we returned from the tournament we flew out to california. David had family business to take care of and the kids and i just wanted to go somewhere for spring break!It was a nice visit to see family and friends but it was really nice to come home on tuesday. It's funny how much you miss your house when your not there! So thats it about it for now! Again it was great to see everyone in california! love y'all

TODAY I AM A BIT BUMMED...I CANT QUITE PINPOINT IT! IN THE SOCIETY WE LIVE IN WE ARE DRILLED WITH HOW IMPORTANT MONEY IS AND TO AN EXTENT DO WHATEVER YOU CAN TO HAVE IT AND LOTS OF IT! I MEAN BY WAY OF SOCIETY IS MUCH MORE ACCEPTING OF THE WORKING MOTHER THAN THE STAY AT HOME MOM! MONEY MATTERS SO MUCH IN OUR SOCIETY AND IT MAKES ME BUMMED THAT I FEEL SO INADEQUATE BECAUSE I AM HOME WITH THE KIDS. I MEAN IT JUST BREAKS MY HEART TO THINK OF THE 3 BABIES HAVING TO BE IN DAY CARE AND ESPECIALLY MITCHELL WHO IS SO MUCH MORE ATTACHED TO ME THAN THE OTHER KIDS ARE ( SINCE HE DOESNT SPEAK) I FEEL LIKE HE WOULD BE LOST IF THE ONE THING THAT HAS ALWAYS BEEN THERE 24/7 WAS SUDDENLY NOT THERE. AND I WISH I COULD GET OVER THE FEELINGS OF NOT DOING ENOUGH AND NOT BEING ENOUGH. THE WHOLE MONEY THING IS LAME TO ME I WANT MY KIDS TO KNOW THAT WHILE IT IS IMPORTANT TO BE RESPONSIBLE (WORK IN OR OUT OF THE HOME)ANYWAY I AM DONE WITH MY RANT!!!LOVE Y'ALL

why oh why do they call? i have no idea and i have no idea how they got our home number since it is unlisted!!! anyway i am annoyed. they called a total of 6 times today the same company that says we are not soliciting anything but please hold for a brief message..... so the first 2 times i hang up cause i dont have the time to wait on hold for some putz to answer then the 3rd time i figured i would be nice so i held for 10 min....no answer.....then while i was grocery shopping david got 2 calls from the same company then one more time once i got home!!! aahhhhh!!it totally tics me off when they just dont speak when you answer and then put you on hold!!! anyway other than that the day was okay... tayler and emily will be back to school tomorrow and katey is now getting the full blown flu but doesnt want to miss school because she doesnt want to miss P.E. . whatever if she is too sick in the morning she is not going!!!peace....

sick kids

dang i hate when the kids are sick! okay so its flu season i get it and we never get the flu shot! we got it once when the twins were born cause they were preemie and their dr. recomended it. anyway , tayler sick....emilys sick.....and mitchell and lindsey had just gotten over their whole snot nose thing!!! so anyway matty joe is the only one not sick. katey has a cough so ... there you go in the past 2 weeks all these kids have been sick...well matty joe may be avoiding it thankfully. so david and i are well for now! hopefully it will stay that way. we have had some great weather the past 2 days highs of 78 love it!!!!!!
tayler has a valentines dance on friday she is excited!!!maybe i can snap some pics of her!!!anyway all is well here!

i wanted to write today about my parents. well i am so thankful for my parents. the best thing i have done to strenghten our relationship was to move away. yeah i know it didnt have to be all the way to mississippi but we do like it here alot!! anyway moving has made my realationship with my mom so much better, i mean in the way of it is nice to be to this place in our relationship finally. any of you who know my family know my relationship with my dad has always pretty much been ideal, however when it came to me and my mom we didnt get along all the time.but through it all we have came to this point where i really am happy with these relationships. i went to california for my moms birthday on jan 20, it was a short 1 day visit but it was still great to see my folks again. it was a great suprise for my mom although she was ticked that about 8 people knew and she didnt! anyway what a great time we had.

our weekend was kinda hectic , katey had to sell raffel tickets for her softball team outside a local grocery store! they made 600.00 yeah!!!! then church on sunday as well as katey having practice for softball. david suprised me on saturday night by mopping the kitchen, den and living room! it was great! thanks david!!!that was it and here we are at the start of a new week!!whoopee!!hope it goes well---- is it friday yet?
